STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar FM Gala

STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar FM Gala

STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar FM Gala is a hydraulically binding work dry mortar with application-specific mineral and organic additives. It is suited exclusively for surfaces used in gardens and private landscaping areas. It fulfills all the requirements stated in the ZTV Wegebau, and is not to be used for public projects. Of course, it is frost and de-icing agent resistant. Due to its specific compound, STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar FM Gala is characterised by high flowability at coincident very good demixing stability and by high self-deaeration ability. Therefore, it is self-compacting and it is not necessary to compact it with machines. In association with its defined setting behaviour, the mentioned properties effect excellent processability and simplest cleansing of grouted surfaces.

STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar FM Gala is available as bag ware (40 kg) and as Big Bag (1.000 kg) in medium grey. For further colours please refer to the higher resisting HD02-1K.

Processing/building-in

The grouting should take place – depending on the weather – one day after, at the latest 48 hours after the laying. If the grouting is possible only at a later date, please contact our technology department to come to an agreement.

The processing is normally done using the silting method. The surface to be silted shall be well pre-moistened (no stagnant water in the joints). Mix STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar HD 02 – 1K in the positive mixer or by stirring device with clear cold water only (added amount see Technical Bulletin or imprint on bag) in flowable texture and free from lumps. Immediately afterwards bring the jointing mortar into the joints using a rubber slider slowly and accurately. Keep the silted surface constantly wet by a soft jet of water until the cleansing. After sufficient thickening of the jointing mortar, clean the surface by a soft water jet or a belt cleaning machine.

The grouted surface must be after-treated. For further information see Technical bulletin STEIN TEC® Jointing Mortar HD 02 – 1K.
